Company culture match helps decide agency choice
appointed technical and technology PR agency Stone Junction to handle
its UK media relations and provide social media services. The dedicated
team of experts at the UK PR agency will assist COPA-DATA in further
expanding its burgeoning reputation.
Since it was established in 1987, Salzburg-based HMI (Human Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) specialist COPA-DATA has installed over 80,000 systems across the world. It supplies customers in sectors from automotive, food and beverage to energy, infrastructure and pharmaceuticals.
zenon, the company's marketing leading automation package, provides a secure and straightforward solution for a range of plant management issues. The product line ensures effective implementation and ergonomics of HMI/SCADA, including multi-touch technology, dynamic production reporting, effective energy management and integrated PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
“We had been searching for a PR consultancy that not only has good expertise in engineering and technology, but also matches our way of doing business,” explained Martyn Williams, UK Managing Director of COPA-DATA. “We are both very customer led and also very focussed on strong company culture. Stone Junction has ticked both boxes.”
"We used to say that 'time is money'," explained Richard Stone, Managing Director of Stone Junction. "But I think that for modern manufacturing companies, insight is money. In particular they recognise the importance of their production efficiency. COPA-DATA is an innovation-led company from Austria that has been at the forefront of the global software automation sector for almost thirty years. It is uniquely placed to provide both insight and efficiency for its customers.
"The company is focussed very heavily on ergonomics - designing products and services that are incredibly user friendly and simple to navigate and operate. I think this is where the global software industry is in 2014 and it is also where the global automation and engineering industry is going. COPA-DATA is ahead of its time in countless ways."
Stone Junction's diverse portfolio now consists of eighteen clients, including some high profile engineering brands such as GAMBICA, European Automation and battery manufacturer Accutronics.

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
