Digital experts engages technology PR firm after successful launch
Building on a successful first year of trading, digital marketing expert bITjAM has renewed its collaboration with technology PR firm Stone Junction to help increase its brand awareness in the manufacturing, health and education sectors.
The appointment follows the successful launch of the bITjAM
Innovation Qube in Stoke-on-Trent last year, for which Stone Junction
handled the media relations and community engagement. The launch of the
bITjAM Innovation Qube was a finalist at the CIPR PRide Awards 2014 in
the Best Event category.
To mark the launch of the bITjAM Innovation Qube, Stone Junction invited education providers, students, media and the wider business community in a full-day event to explore the potential of digital technologies for businesses and education. Stone Junction also facilitated a visit from shadow secretary of state for education and local MP, Tristram Hunt. The campaign generated sales leads, significant local, trade and national press coverage and increased bITjAM’s profile in the Staffordshire area.
"The bITjAM Innovation Qune launch debunked the myth that PR doesn’t get sales leads. We came away from the event with excellent connections and projects that have helped us grow the company,” explained Carl Plant, chief executive officer of bITjAM. "The company has developed a lot over the last year and a half and it now has the capacity to provide digital tools for the manufacturing, health and education sector."
"Stone Junction has supported us from the first day and knows our company inside out, so it made perfect sense to get them involved in the launch of our new services, which include live data dashboards, content management systems, interactive reports, apps and website development and design," continued Plant.
"bITjAM is a unique company in the Staffordshire region. It’s the type of micro business you’d expect to see in London’s Silicon Roundabout or other tech hubs in the world," commented Richard Stone, managing director of Stone Junction. " We’re looking forward to injecting a bit of positive disruptive technology into the creative county’s business community and challenging traditional uses of marketing and digital tools over the upcoming months."

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
