Seven steps to success
Stone Junction shortlisted for seven CIPR PRide awards
Technical public relations consultancy, Stone Junction has been shortlisted for seven Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards. Stone Junction is in the running for Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy, Integrated Campaign, Education Campaign and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Campaign, among others. The nominations are for the company’s work with longstanding clients, EU Automation, NCH Europe and Renishaw.
The Stafford-based agency is one of three companies with seven shortlists this year — the highest number in the Midlands region. Stone Junction’s seven nominations are a testament to the consultancy’s commitment to providing tailored PR campaigns, comprising of tactics from technical content to social media and video.
Stone Junction has already been presented with two awards in 2017 at the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) DARE Awards in July, highlighting the company’s dedication to its clients and campaigns.
“Over the past few years we have been working with Stone Junction to significantly increase the intensity of our content and PR efforts,” explained Jonathan Wilkins, marketing director of EU Automation. “The growth of the business is, in no small part, down to the ongoing partnership EU Automation has enjoyed with Stone Junction and the visibility that the content and PR campaign affords us.”
“In 2017, Stone Junction has expanded its services and grown its team by seven — the magic number,” commented Richard Stone, managing director of Stone Junction. “This includes hiring a graphic designer and a business administrator — two new roles for the agency. Stone Junction is now looking to fill a further three positions over the coming months. November’s CIPR PRide awards will be the perfect way to celebrate a successful year for the team.”
The CIPR received over 950 award entries from public relations teams, consultancies and individuals. The awards are judged by a team of 70 public relations professionals across the UK, and the ceremony announcing the winners will take place on November 10, 2017 at The Vox Conference Centre, Birmingham.

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
