Free marketing advice at Stafford event
PR agency Stone Junction will deliver a seminar at Stafford’s annual
networking event We
Mean Business at the Moathouse Hotel, Acton
Trussell, on March 26. How to know more about your customers than Tesco
by Richard Stone, will show companies how using social media, content
PR and marketing automation can provide insight into potential
customers. The company will also host a surgery at the event to offer
free one to one marketing advice to businesses who attend.
The event which is designed for businesses to raise their profiles and gain new contacts will begin at 9am and run until 1pm. Other seminars and advice clinics include How to be a Productivity Ninja by Grace Marshall of Marshall Coaching, one to one advice on business matters including employment law, commercial law and property law from local solicitor Hand Morgan and Owen and start up advice on setting up a business from Stafford Enterprise.
The PR agency is encouraging businesses to take a stand at the event after a local company that exhibited at We Mean Business in 2013 generated a 240/1 return on investment as a direct result of the contacts it made at the show. The overall value of the sales the company generated was 240 times higher than the budget the company put aside for We Mean Business.
Stands for We Mean Business cost as little as £45 and no more than £51, depending on whether your company is a Chamber of Commerce member and whether you require electricity on your stand. They are available to any company located in Stafford borough.
“There is genuinely no reason to not take a stand at the show,” explained Richard Stone, the managing director of Stone Junction. “If we could deliver a 240/1 return on investment (ROI) from every piece of marketing activity we do, we would already be a global brand!” he joked.
“There was no question about whether or not we’d consider the event again this year,” continued Stone. “We’re looking forward to giving every visitor a free marketing health check-up during the surgeries associated with the show. Ironically, we will probably also give them cupcakes to go with their health check.”

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
