In the last few years the national media agenda has focused on the effects of the financial meltdown on youth unemployment. Sadly, as the Guardian reveals, almost half of recent graduates are currently working in non-graduate positions.

Here at Stone Junction we've always been a firm believer in employing creative and skilled people irrespective of age - but many of these have been graduates and young people. We were one of the first PR agencies to successfully bring an apprentice though the PRCA (Public Relations Consultants Association) apprenticeship programme for instance.

All of the people we've hired have made their mark on the company and improved our way of doing things. Amongst other innovations there have been Cake Thursdays (we’re still recovering from that by avidly tracking our fitness regime), the great pizza charity debate, Halloween pumpkin carving, quizzes and, well, there has also been quite a lot of innovative work on behalf of our clients.

It is this positive and creative attitude that has enabled us to win loads of new and exciting contracts. So here we are, looking for bright individuals to join our team and help us make Stone Junction an even bigger success. That's a long winded way of saying, 'we're recruiting' basically.

We’re currently recruiting at account executive, senior account executive and account manager level to come and help us eat all that cake. Sorry, I meant do brilliant work.

If you are a recent graduate who can write compelling stories and fearlessly approach journalists, we’d love to hear from you. Great personality, a curious mind and an eye for detail are the attributes you need to be successful. Humanities degrees are welcome, but engineering, IT or general technology knowledge would also make great assets.

However, if you have a few years experience in PR, then perhaps a senior account executive or account manager role would suit you. Here we’re looking for great understanding of the online landscape and digital campaigns.

Amazing organisation skills and the ability to liaise confidently with journalists and clients are essential for this role. You will be able to manage campaigns and report to clients, as well as lead meetings and help mentor junior members of staff.

So if you are interested in any of the positions available, you can give us a call on 01785 225 416 and tell us about your experience and why you would like to work at Stone Junction. And it should be more than, ‘just because there is sometimes cake’. Although, in fairness, that’s mainly why we do it.

Alternatively, e-mail with a covering note and your shiny CV to be considered for any of the roles above.
