We all know that public recognition of your work by a third party is one of the most powerful technical PR tools in the kit. It’s why we write case studies and testimonials, and all those other good things, for our clients .

So, when the work we do for our clients is also recognised in public, that’s great. It reflects well on both us and them. 

This has happened twice recently. The first time was last week, when one our clients, the battery manufacturer Accutronics, won The Sentinel newspaper British Business Award for Best Small Business. Naturally, they were the ones that made themselves into a business worthy of winning; we just helped identify the award opportunity and write the entry. Nevertheless, the recognition is brilliant and had us dancing round the office. 

The second time was this morning, when Jackie West, editor of The Industrial Marketing Blog, called the newsletter we write for switch distributor PVL An email newsletter to inspire

Jackie’s accolade was prompted by a post about Desert Island Discs, in which we listed the records the company would take to the eponymous island, should their sales and marketing director ever be invited to appear. I think Jackie appreciated the light-hearted approach, as well as the fact that each record linked back to a switch –so we got the sales message in there as well. 

(For those of you who know her, Jackie is a huge Morrissey fan – like yours truly. Hence the title of today’s post; Heaven knows I’m cheerful now.) 

So the bottom line is simple; if you’re looking for someone to write your Blog, draft your newsletter or manage your awards entries, you’ve come to the right place. We’re also pretty good at the other things you would expect of an engineering PR agency – even if we do say so ourselves.
