Technical and engineering PR agency, Stone Junction was awarded the PRCA Midlands DARE award for Large Consultancy of the Year at the 2018 ceremony on Wednesday, July 4. The trophy recognises the agency’s growth and commitment to excellence and innovation.
Stone Junction’s story over the last seven years has been remarkable, with the business witnessing an average growth rate of 52 per cent a year since 2012 and overachieving against its targets every year. The agency’s clients are all in its core sectors of expertise, including international science, technology, and engineering sectors, and it is regarded as the first PR agency for the fourth industrial revolution.
Also shortlisted for Trade and B2B and Media Relations awards at this year’s regional DARE event, Stone Junction has grown to a team of 17, from just eight people in 2015. It now fills two offices in the heart of Stafford.
“In 2017 our fee income grew by a whopping 80.47 per cent, reaching £926,922,” said Richard Stone, founder and managing director of Stone Junction. “This is testament to the dedication of everyone in the agency to producing and managing amazing campaigns for our clients, which help them achieve their business objectives.
“Company culture is at the heart of everything we do at Stone Junction, and because of this we have built a business full of like-minded people that are working together to make Stone Junction great. Bringing home the trophy proves that our company culture is just right.”
In addition to growing the team and increasing turnover, Stone Junction’s profit increased significantly and the business was able to increase its graduate starting salary, provide seven internal promotions and 86 salary increases in twelve months.
The PRCA DARE award judges cited the business’s dedication to innovation as one of the core reasons for selecting it as the worthy winner, something that is clearly paying off for the agency — which is hiring again to stay ahead of client demand.
