THREE WORTHWHILE MARKETING BLOGS AND SOME MEDIA MOVES


In addition to media moves, I thought I would point you towards three useful marketing Blogs that I’ve read this morning. 

The first is on SEOMoz, where they discuss why your site might not be generating traffic, despite ranking well in Google.

The second is on the Wildfire PR Blog, where they discuss the best use of research in a PR campaign

And finally, this morning’s BMON Blog points towards an interesting deconstruction of some accepted ideas about e-mail marketing.

Now, on to the media moves; there are a couple of older ones in here as I haven’t done a media update for a while! 

Purple Media Solutions' Electrical Times magazine has appointed Rodney Jack as editor. He replaces Ben Cronin. Carly Wood has also replaced Hazel Swain as editorial assistant. 

Offshore Technology, official publication of The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), has relaunched as a quarterly. The magazine is aimed at decision makers and professionals working in the international oil and gas industry. 

News International has appointed David Edwards as editor of Eureka Magazine, the science supplement that comes with The Times. Edwards, previously deputy editor of the publication, has now replaced Antonia Senior.

This week The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment’s member magazine the environmentalist has relaunched with a new look and new content. The changes, made by new Editor Paul Suff, see the title focus on environmental issues and sustainable business. New content includes interviews with leading figures and debates on topical issues as well as a revamp of the policy section.
