In a week where the media news has been dominated by who is where and what they are doing there, thanks to the launch ofFacebook Places, we’ve also seen a fair few people in the media change places. (Get it? I should have been a radio presented, my links are so good.)

For me though, the real opportunity that Facebook Places is targeting is the online listings market, currently dominated by Craig’s List and, to a certain extent, e-Bay. I genuinely think that a few tweaks to Places could result in a service that outguns both.

However, it’s Friday, which means its media moves day. So without any further ado:

Sandy Guthrie is the new editor of Construction Europe, which provides news and features for the construction industry across Europe. Guthrie succeeds Chris Sleight who is leaving to concentrate on sister magazine International Construction.

Practice Business also has a new editor; Julia Dennison has replaced Suzannah Wright in the role.

Meanwhile, Datacenter Dynamics Focus has appointed Penny Jones to do the job for them.

Finally, The Financial Times is launching a new online and paper channel called The Connected Business which will replace Digital Business from September 15. It’s good to see the FT launching new channels, but if you are reading this FT, I still miss the old Creative Business supplement.

So, now we know where everyone is and what they are doing, we can all head off to Facebook Places.
