PR AGENCY CAN HOLD ITS DRINK - LITERALLY
CIPR Mark of Excellence 2020 award winner, Stone Junction, has co-produced two custom brews ahead of Britain’s National Beer day. Not for public distribution, Dog with a Stone (lager) and Stone Drunktion (IPA) are an exclusive gratuity to existing and potential clients as well as the agency’s team. The bostin’ brews are set for release on June 15, to coincide with the national ‘Cheers to Beer’ celebration at 7.00pm.
Traditionally, National Beer Day would be a chance for both local and national brewers to exhibit exciting new malts and brews at festivals, special events and street parties. However, the UK’s lockdown safety measures prevent such celebrations from taking place.
The multi-award-winning agency, desperate to continue the festival — and similarly desperate for a drink — has seized the opportunity for togetherness and produced two brews which will be distributed to clients, journalist contacts, prospective leads and agency members in time for a Zoom party at 7.00pm.
The virtual get together will be an exclusive event designed to replicate the post-work-day pint and break the monotony of working from home.
“Nothing is more convivial than a bottle of beer,” says Stone Junction’s managing director, Richard Stone. “It has a unique ability to bring people together and, in a time when so many of us feel disconnected from our friends, family and colleagues this national celebration felt like a great opportunity to produce something fun and comradely.
“To quote the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson, ‘beer softens the temper and cheers the spirit’. Although we can’t yet fill the beer gardens of Stafford with our team once more, our wonderful clients and our journalist friends, we can still cheer the spirit of those we care about with a beautifully brewed beer and some tipsy conversations. All safe and socially distant of course.”
Brewed and bottled in Staffordshire, Dog with a Stone and Stone Drunktion enter an already extensive range of ‘stone’ related ales produced by the Lymestone family Brewery.
The lager and IPA are set to be distributed at Stone Junction’s new office opening, lockdown permitting, at the end of 2020. So, get yourself on the guest list, here.
